Rita Wilson unveils bold statement with “Sound of a Woman”

Rita Wilson enters a bold new chapter with "Sound of a Woman," the title track and lead single of her forthcoming sixth studio album. Deeply personal and lushly produced, the song establishes the emotional tenor for an album that trades in introspection, resilience and firsthand experience.

"Sound of a Woman" was recorded at the legendary RCA Studio A in Nashville with co-producer  Dave Cobb, and Cobb’s touch ensures that, while we can feel Mr. Shires’s emotional clarity, it never winds up sounding overblown. Co-written by Wilson with Amy Wadge, "Sound of a Woman" moves gracefully and deliberately within the brilliance of its arrangement, which serves to raise her message above it.

"Sound of a Woman" serves as a manifesto. It announces an album built on personal truths, creative, self-assurance, and storytelling that’s both intimate and universal. The song does not ask for its epiphany immediately, it earns the listener's trust and takes its time to spread out, enfold.
