Nxdia turns self-discovery into alt-pop on "Cool"

Nxdia, London-based Egyptian-Sudanese alt-pop artist returns with confidence on “Cool,” a sleek, self-aware track that pulls the listener in and captures the excitement, bewilderment and liberation of nascent dating. Finding a perfect equilibrium between openness and courage, the song embraces introspection, portraying Nxdia as nothing short of in charge of her story.

“Cool” is, at its essence, about curiosity, exploring limits, embracing desire, and letting experiences happen organically rather than overanalyzing them. The song embodies an attitude of living in the moment, rebelling against unyielding norms, and celebrating emotional and physical independence.

Penned by Nadia Ahmed, Henry Tucker, and Joe Kearns, and produced by Joe Kearns, "cool" manages to blend exposure and defiance. Nxdia continues to make a case as an artist unfazed by eschewing definitions on her own terms and by not being afraid to explore desire, identity, and self-evolution.
