LALA HAYDEN embraces change on new single “PLM”

LALA HAYDEN London/Barcelona artist is back with “PLM," a personal yet immense effort that serves as her first piece of music since dropping her viva venus EP last year. Forged during a turbulent time of personal transformation, the song freezes that instant in which doubt and resolve grind against each other as she delivers one of her most emotionally charged releases to date.

“PLM," Co-written and produced by Jake Gosling, is a mix of modern pop with classic club energy, the rhythm heavy on synths that beat calmly with confidence. There’s a feeling of propulsion throughout the track, not quite hurried or forceful, so much as continuous, like somebody walking themselves into the next chapter while still carrying some sense of what it felt like to deal with everything in the last one.

“PLM” being posted during pregnancy, is a song about power in flux, about openness being turned into something clear-headed rather than confused. LALA HAYDEN seems not to filter the moment, she allows the complexity to exist and thus makes a track that is incredibly human and quietly brave.
